Product Information

Strepsils Plus Anaesthetic Lozenges are the only lozenges containing Lidocaine, a powerful local anaesthetic which rapidly numbs the pain and a combination of 2 antiseptics (Amylmetacresol 0.6mg 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg) to help kill the bacteria which can cause sore throats and mouth infections. They are used to relieve sore throats in adults and children over the age of 12 years.

How To Use

Adults and children over 12 years: One lozenge to be sucked in the mouth every 2 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 in 24 hours. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Consult your doctor within 3 days of use if symptoms persist.

Active Ingredients

Each lozenge contains the active ingredients amylmetacresol 0.6mg, 2,4 – dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 10mg. The other ingredients are tartaric acid, sodium saccharin, levomenthol, peppermint oil, star anise oil, quinoline yellow (E104), indigo carmine (E132), liquid sucrose and liquid glucose
